Application and Admission Process

* Before the start of the formal academic semester, all freshmen will take part in a four to six week orientation program, which consists of math, physics, and English courses. The orientation program is designed to prepare students with a solid foundation in math, physics and English, as well as the communication skills needed for academic studies. All orientation programs are conducted in English.

What We Look For

Guangdong Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) invests in tomorrow’s engineering leaders and is thereby committed to attracting and admitting the best and the brightest. Admissions decisions take into account an applicant’s academic performance in math/science as well as his or her ambitions, excitement, and extra-curricular talents and achievements.

Admission Requirements

Your application must include the following documents:

•  Completed Application Form including a passport sized photo

•  Health Declaration Form

•  Secondary school diploma and transcripts covering three years (students should have a strong background in math/science. A background in Physics is mandatory)

•  Two teacher recommendation letters*

•  Standardized test (SAT or ACT or AST) according to the student’s country of origin

•  Resume/CV

•  Personal statement

•  Students who are non-native English speakers must also submit English proficiency test scores, either TOEFL or IELTS (see below for required minimum and recommended score)

•  $100 (USD) non-refundable application fee

* An original copy must be sent to the Admissions Office directly from the evaluator. At least one letter should be from a mathematics or science teacher.

English Proficiency Test

Since the academic program at GTIIT is taught in English, applicants are required to demonstrate their English proficiency before they enroll. Applicants from high schools where English is not the primary language of instruction are required to submit official copies of their scores on the TOEFL, IELTS, the SAT Reasoning, or ACT Plus Writing Test.

Candidates applying from the USA or from high schools taught according to the American system, must take a standardized test (SAT or ACT) before applying. GTIIT has minimum test score requirements for the math section as detailed below. Those who take tests in other subjects may send their results in as well.

Program Costs

Tuition: ＄15,000 USD per annum

Accommodation: ＄180 USD per annum （covering the costs for room equipment）

Please note that tuition fees do not cover applicants’ airfare, meals, the cost of textbooks and other expenses.

· 在正式學(xué)期開始之前，所有新生都將參加4-6周的用英語授課的預(yù)備課程。預(yù)備課程通過數(shù)學(xué)、物理和英語等科目學(xué)習(xí)，旨在為學(xué)生提供適應(yīng)專業(yè)學(xué)習(xí)的堅(jiān)實(shí)基礎(chǔ)以及學(xué)術(shù)研究所需的溝通技巧。

· 完整的申請材料須在6月1號前提交。如需晚于6月1號提交申請，請?zhí)崆芭c以色列理工學(xué)院國際部聯(lián)系并獲得系主任同意，否則申請將不會被考慮。更多細(xì)節(jié)，請聯(lián)系以色列理工學(xué)院國際部。

 

入學(xué)要求和材料：

您的申請必須包括以下文件：

•         在申請系統(tǒng)上填寫完整的申請表

•         1張符合護(hù)照要求的個人免冠證件照

•         健康申報(bào)表

•         高中文憑和完整3年成績單（學(xué)生應(yīng)具備較強(qiáng)的數(shù)學(xué)/理學(xué)的學(xué)科背景，且必須修讀過物理學(xué)科）

•         兩封教師推薦信

•         根據(jù)您的國籍，提交相應(yīng)的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)考試成績（如SAT、AST或ACT）

•         個人簡歷

•         個人陳述信

•         母語為非英語的學(xué)生須提交英語水平考試成績，如托?；蜓潘迹ㄕ垍㈤喴韵乱蟮淖畹秃屯扑]成績

•         100美元的申請費(fèi)(繳交后不予退還）

推薦信原件需由推薦人直接發(fā)送到招生辦公室郵箱或郵寄到廣東以色列理工學(xué)院招生辦公室，且至少一封推薦信是來自中學(xué)的數(shù)學(xué)、物理等理科的任課老師。

 

英語水平考試：

由于廣東以色列理工學(xué)院的專業(yè)課程以英語授課，因此申請人必須在入學(xué)前證明自己的英語水平。主要語言非英語的申請人須提交托福、雅思、SAT推理或ACT Plus寫作考試成績。英語水平考試分?jǐn)?shù)要求：
