華僑大學(xué)位于中國福建省廈門和泉州，創(chuàng)辦于1960年。

漢語言短期進(jìn)修項(xiàng)目介紹
華文學(xué)院、預(yù)科教育學(xué)院是華僑大學(xué)面向海外和港澳臺(tái)地區(qū)開展華文教育、漢語國際教育、來華留學(xué)預(yù)科教育以及漢語言短期進(jìn)修的專門學(xué)院。華文學(xué)院前身為集美華僑學(xué)生補(bǔ)習(xí)學(xué)校，創(chuàng)辦于1953年，1997年并入華僑大學(xué)。華文學(xué)院是中國教育部首批公布有資格招收外國留學(xué)生的單位，是國家漢辦支持周邊國家漢語教學(xué)的重點(diǎn)學(xué)校，是國家在福建省最早設(shè)立的漢語水平考試考點(diǎn)。學(xué)院擁有一支熱愛華文教育事業(yè)、熟悉海外學(xué)生特點(diǎn)的專業(yè)化教師隊(duì)伍，專門承擔(dān)中文零起點(diǎn)海外華裔新生代、外國留學(xué)生、公務(wù)人員和行業(yè)精英的中文速成教育。
漢語言短期進(jìn)修生項(xiàng)目招收具有高中畢業(yè)以上程度，年滿16周歲、原則上不超過22周歲，品行端正、身體健康，持有效護(hù)照的海外華僑華人、外國留學(xué)生。
漢語言短期進(jìn)修生項(xiàng)目學(xué)制分為一學(xué)期和一學(xué)年。分別設(shè)有初級(jí)、中級(jí)、高級(jí)三個(gè)不同級(jí)別的班級(jí)。全面開展?jié)h語聽、說、讀、寫、譯等專項(xiàng)技能與綜合技能訓(xùn)練，傳授漢語言知識(shí)和中華文化知識(shí)，培養(yǎng)具備扎實(shí)的漢語言語能力與跨文化交際能力，系統(tǒng)掌握漢語基礎(chǔ)理論，了解中國國情與社會(huì)文化，熟悉中華文化國際傳播，能夠勝任用漢語進(jìn)行文化交流的應(yīng)用型人才。全面提升漢語水平、專業(yè)知識(shí)儲(chǔ)備及跨文化交際能力，做好與中國教育的銜接，結(jié)業(yè)后達(dá)到進(jìn)入中國高校專業(yè)階段學(xué)習(xí)的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。
教學(xué)模式：
采用綜合教學(xué)模式，精講多練、個(gè)性化輔導(dǎo)、小班教學(xué)（25人/班）相結(jié)合的教學(xué)模式，通過大課時(shí)量、大輸入量的教學(xué)措施，為學(xué)生營造“沉浸式”漢語學(xué)習(xí)和使用環(huán)境，每月進(jìn)行學(xué)業(yè)成效測(cè)試。

開學(xué)時(shí)間與入學(xué)申請(qǐng)手續(xù)
一、開學(xué)時(shí)間: 每學(xué)年分上、下兩個(gè)學(xué)期, 上學(xué)期9月初開學(xué)，下學(xué)期2月中、下旬開學(xué)。
二、報(bào)名時(shí)間:
1.2024年2月入學(xué)，報(bào)名時(shí)間為：2023年10月-2023年12月10日。
2.2024年9月入學(xué)，報(bào)名時(shí)間為：2024年3月-2024年5月31日。
三、入學(xué)申請(qǐng)辦法:
1.通過網(wǎng)上報(bào)名系統(tǒng)（https://admissions.hqu.edu.cn/）申請(qǐng)并上傳相關(guān)材料（證件照、護(hù)照復(fù)印件、高中畢業(yè)證書、高中成績(jī)單、近半年體檢材料等）。
2.我校將及時(shí)審核學(xué)生報(bào)名材料。已錄取的學(xué)生，可在報(bào)名系統(tǒng)上下載“錄取通知函”。
3.我校為已錄取的學(xué)生辦理DQ表或JW202表，學(xué)生可通過郵箱自行下載。
4.學(xué)生持DQ表或JW202表、錄取通知書等材料到中國駐所在國使領(lǐng)館辦理學(xué)習(xí)簽證（X1、X2）。
5.學(xué)生入學(xué)后一周內(nèi)必須到學(xué)院學(xué)生辦公室，辦理住宿登記、保險(xiǎn)、身體檢查、外國人居留證等相關(guān)手續(xù)，費(fèi)用自理。

Introduction to Huaqiao University

Established in 1960, Huaqiao University is situated in Xiamen and Quanzhou, Fujian province, P.R.C.

Dedicated to recruiting students from abroad, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, HQU aims to serve the overseas Chinese and spread Chinese culture, committing itself to the school principle of Integration of Chinese Wisdom and Foreign Expertise, Unification of Moral Character and Professional Excellence. It boasts a unique campus culture of One-culture Oriented, Multi-culture Integrated, Diversities but Harmony.

Covering an area of more than 2,100,000 square meters, Huaqiao University has well-developed infrastructures featuring advanced labs, first-class student accommodations and “Best 100 Chinese University Student Restaurants ".

HQU boasts its variety of sports facilities including basketball courts, football fields, badminton and tennis courts, swimming pools and climbing walls, and more than 100 student clubs. Engaging itself in international exchanges and cooperation, HQU has signed cooperation agreements with over 280 universities, research institutes and governments from 44 countries and regions.

Chinese Language and Culture College, Preparation Education College, where Chinese language programs of HQU are taken, are situated in the Jimei School Village, Xiamen, near the mountains and rivers. The colleges have long been famous for beautiful sceneries. The colleges have advanced facilities for teaching and accommodation, well-equipped classrooms for experiencing Chinese culture, language labs. There are also multimedia classrooms, electronic libraries, canteens, supermarkets and playgrounds in the campus.

Introduction to Short-Term Chinese Language Program

Chinese Language and Culture College and Preparatory Education College shoulders the responsibility of conducting Chinese Language and Culture Education, Chinese International Education, college-prep education, and short-term Chinese language program. Chinese Language and Culture College, the former Jimei Overseas Chinese Tutoring School, was founded in 1953 and was incorporated into Huaqiao University in 1997. The College is one of the first institutions accredited by MOE to enroll overseas students in China and is designated by NOCFL to assist the neighboring countries with Chinese language teaching. It is China's earliest HSK test center in Fujian. The college enjoys professional teaching and auxiliary staff who are committed to Chinese culture and language education and are excelling in teaching overseas students. It is dedicated to providing Chinese education for Chinese beginners of the new generation of overseas Chinese, foreign students, civil servants and industry elites.

The Short-Term Chinese Language Program recruits overseas Chinese and foreign students who have senior high school diplomas, between 16 and 22 years old, in good physical and mental health, with good behavior and clean criminal record.

The Short Term Chinese Language Programs include one-semester program and one-academic-year program. There are three different levels of classes: elementary class, intermediate class and advanced class. The program focuses on training students’ comprehensive skills in listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation. It aims at training high-quality talents with excellent Chinese language proficiency, cross-culture communicative competence, systematic knowledge of Chinese language, good understanding of China’s national condition and social culture. Students will be familiar with the international communication of Chinese culture and be able to use Chinese for cultural exchanges. The program improves students’ Chinese language level so as to help them better prepare for the further degree studies in China.

Teaching Mode:
The program features meticulous teaching, enough practice, personalized guidance and small-class teaching (25 students/class). Intensive courses and big input are adopted to create an immersive Chinese learning and using environment for students. Tests are conducted every month.
Curriculum:
1. Elementary Class: Pinyin, Comprehensive Elementary Chinese, Elementary Chinese Application, Elementary Chinese Reading and Writing, Chinese Vocabulary, Overview of China.
2. Intermediate Class: Comprehensive Intermediate Chinese, Intermediate Chinese Application, Intermediate Chinese Reading and Writing, Chinese Vocabulary, Liberal Arts Chinese, Science and Technology Chinese, Overview of China.
3. Advanced Class: Comprehensive Advanced Chinese, Advanced Chinese Application, Advanced Chinese Reading and Writing, Advanced Vocabulary, Chinese for College Liberal Arts Majors, Chinese for College Science and Technology Majors, Overview of China.
4. Elective Class: Preparatory Mathematics, Preparatory Physics, Preparatory Chemistry, Chinese Music, Chinese Martial Arts, Chinese painting, etc.
Course Advantages:
The program helps improve students' Chinese competence and cross-cultural communication skills so as to qualify them for the further degree studies in Chinese institutes of higher education.
Incentives:
Students with high school degrees can be admitted to the undergraduate programs of HQU without examination if they successfully finish and pass the program. Scholarships are available for those with good academic performance.
School Calendar and Application Procedures
School Calendar:
An academic year includes two semesters. The fall semester begins in early September and the spring semester in mid or late February.
Application Period:
For spring semester: from Oct. 2023 to 10th Dec, 2023.
For fall semester: from Mar. 2024 to 31st May, 2024.
How to Apply:

Students log on the application website (https://admissions.hqu.edu.cn/) to submit the application. Documents needed include photo, passport, high school graduation certificate, high school transcript, physical examination materials within the past six months, etc.

HQU reviews students’ application. Students can download the Admission Letter on the application website when admitted.

HQU issues the DQ or JW202 Form for students. Students download the DQ or JW202 Form themselves via email.

Students apply for study visa (X1, X2) at the local Chinese Embassy with the DQ or JW202 Form and Admission Letter.

Within one week after entering China, students should go to the Students Affairs Office to settle their residence registration, insurance, physical examination and residence permit. The expenses will be paid by students themselves.
